About The Shady Grove Foundation
The Shady Grove Foundation’s background reflects a combination of opportunity, hard work, and a deep desire to see Mississippi thrive. Through experience and a passion for progress, the foundation was established to help strengthen communities, expand access, and invest in the future of our home state.
We believe in a future where:
• Neurodivergent learners and their families have expanded access to educational services, therapy resources, and individualized academic support.
• Educators and service providers are equipped with the evidence-informed training needed to recognize and nurture each student’s unique strengths.
• Early intervention and specialized educational access are prioritized to dramatically improve academic success, independence, and long-term quality of life.
• No child goes without healthy food, ensuring every student has the basic nutrition needed to learn and grow.
We are committed to transparency, ethical stewardship, board oversight, and measurable impact reporting to ensure donor trust and responsible growth. The Shady Grove Foundation exists to help make this future a reality—by backing established programs, championing bold new ideas, and investing in meaningful, lasting change across Mississippi.
